In July there was a community safety walk at Withrow Park to address concerns about park safety. At that time an action plan was prepared.
On November 17 at 7 pm meet with P.C. Rob McDonald, Division 55, Mark Hawkins, Park Supervisor, and Councillor Fletcher to assess the how the action plan was put into effect. We will meet at the Withrow Park Club House. Dress warmly- this is an outdoor event that will take place rain or shine.
This is a good chance to raise any safety concerns that you may have about the park and to see what progress has been made to date. I hope to see you there.
Something has to be done to curtail off leash dogs outside designated area. As more and more dog owners opt out of using off leash area this will lead to increase tension among other park users and neighbours. Not much the cops can do, but an education or awareness program to convince scofflaws to use the designated off leash area.
